WEEKLY SERVICES

SUNDAY SERVICES
8.00am Holy Eucharist Rite 1
9.30am Holy Eucharist Rite 2 followed by formation for children and youth
Sunday morning worship is the central focus of life at St. James. We have two services; the early one is smaller and more meditative, and usually follows the Rite 1 (more traditional) order from the Book of Common Prayer for the Eucharist. The later service is more lively, with enthusiastic congregational singing and a large band of acolytes, and usually follows the Rite 2 (more contemporary) order from the Book of Common Prayer. The sermon is an important part of our worship; the tradition at St James is thoughtful and substantive preaching at both services that connects our faith with our lives. Children, including babies, are warmly welcomed as full participants at all our services.
