2012-2019, ​Father Ian served as Vicar of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, O’Fallon, Illinois, in the Diocese of Springfield.
After ordination, he served three parishes in  the Anglican Diocese of Fredericton, encompassing all of the province of New Brunswick, Canada:
+ 1996-1998, assistant curate, Parish of Derby & Blackville; 
+ 1998-2003, rector, Parish of Bright; 
+ 2003-2012, rector, Parish of St Mary, York
He and his wife Cathy have a grown daughter, Sarah, and Sarah and Kam have a toddler named Laurel.
